Double Shutter Photography

Double Shutter Photography

By Brad Miller, B&M Digital

We worked with Double Shutter Photography for the first time this past summer of 2012 at one of the funnest weddings we’ve done to date. They were very professional and definitely easy to get along with. Being a husband and wife team just like us, we immediately hit it off. In fact, a couple of the attendees asked if we were one company as they saw us working together so well. There are just a handful of photographers that we recommend to our brides and Double Shutter is one of them. It’s not often that you get such gorgeous photography from such easy going, yet professional photographers. Check out their work and we’re sure you’ll agree.

Beautiful Shots

By Amber D.

Morgan and I wanted a casual wedding that showed our personality and felt like a backyard celebration with all of our family and friends. We found the perfect location and built many of the details ourselves, including the open-air dance floor area. Erica and Jason shot a friend’s wedding and we loved how the personalities of our friends really showed through and wanted that same feel for our wedding memories. Due to distance, we never met before the wedding, but you would never know it since Jason was mistaken for my brother 10 minutes into my morning salon appointment. His relaxed demeanor kept my nerves at bay and he became like another member of the bridal party. The shots that he and Erica got of the day showed our personalities, my nerves, the happiness of our friends and family, and the atmosphere we were hoping to create. I didn’t have a detailed list of photos that I wanted, just a casual feel with many candid moments. Knowing I had created most of the details of the wedding, Erica made sure she knew which were my favorites and took beautiful shots. The photo of the back of my dress still brings tears to my eyes because it captures how that dress made the entire day surreal for me. When people ask us what our favorite parts of our wedding were, our answer is always the same – the moment we first saw each other and our photographers.

Absolutely amazing!!

By J Cummings

Erica and Jason are absolutely amazing! They’re so much fun to work with, and so dedicated to capturing the perfect moments. It doesn’t take long to discover how passionate they are about their work. Not only do they take great photos, they’re very personable and easy to work with. You get a great package for a great price – I have no desire to use any other photographers for an important occasion or family photos. My husband and I hired them to capture our wedding and also, our engagement photos – which is included in the package. Numerous guests at my wedding were complimenting them on how focused they were the entire night and how many photos they were taking. They took hundreds of photos and were there from the very start to the very end. They do not work on a timed schedule, which is something I really appreciated. Another great thing about Double Shutter – they’re super-fast with sending you your photos (complete with professional editing). If you’re anything like me, the anticipation of seeing the pictures is almost unbearable! This company deserves a 5 star rating – A genuine husband and wife business that absolutely love what they’re doing…and it really shows!

They capture all the moments you want and more with great skill. They provide you with more than just pictures, they go above and beyond for each of their brides. Best Photographers Ever

By S Hubbard

My husband and I could not have asked for a better photography duo for our wedding day! I can not say enough positive thungs about Erica and Jason. They were so personable and fun from the first time I met them! They captured every important moment from getting our hair done to the last dance at our reception. The pictures are amazing and I have had countless people tell me how beautiful our pictures are. Jason saved my sister and myself when both our hooks on our dresses broke before the wedding, he can sew! They even stepped up and helped us get down the asile on time when our coordinator was slacking. I have already recommended them to many friends, for weddings and baby pictures, and I will continue to recommend them to everyone that asks about a photographer! I am even planning on having them do pictures in the future when its baby time!!! I would never go to another photographer as long as these two are in business.

Best Decision

By J Bacon (DC)

I choose Double Shutter Photography because I knew the photographer in high school. I am so happy with that decision. Erica and Jason were so much fun to work with. They were able to get my husband to loosen up and even he enjoyed grinning like a fool. The two of them were completely professional at all times and even helped me out with a diaper pin when my shoe broke right before I walked down the aisle. The pictures were amazing. Not only were they beautiful and exactly what I wanted, I got them back within 2 weeks from my wedding day. I was able to put together gifts for my family before the month ended which was amazing because my sister got married the year before, did not use DSP and still at that point did not have any of her photos. Jason and Erica from Double Shutter Photography are by far one of the best choices you can make for your wedding. I will use them for all of my photo needs in the future!

Our Engagement and Wedding

By CB Mertz

We couldn’t have asked for a better photography duo than Jason and Erica. They made our day(s) so special and so personal. On the days of our engagement and wedding they were there from beginning to end taking pictures at every moment from every angle – snapping moments that only someone laying on a floor or hiding behind a decoration could capture! Their personalities along with their professionalism, talent, and flexibility made everything turn out fabulous! We couldn’t have asked for better photographers. They are so reasonable in price and flexible in everything. We’ve already recommended them to other brides, family members and friends who have chosen them over other photographers. We will always ask them to do pictures in the future. Thanks Jason and Erica! 🙂

We LOVE them!

By T Taylor

Jason and Erica did an amazing job on our wedding pictures!! They came in the morning and they stayed until we left the reception. Jason even took a picture of us on the elevator leaving. It is even better that there are 2 of them taking pictures. They won’t miss anything and you get pics from 2 different angles. They are very reasonably priced! The pictures turned out beautiful!! We LOVE them!! If anyone is looking for an amazing photographer, I highly recommend Double Shutter Photography!!

Awesome photography team!

By D&J Kenny

Jason and Erica were awesome! We first met them at a friend’s wedding and were impressed so we asked them immediately if they had our wedding date open. Their price was much more reasonable than anyone else in the DC area. They are a little bit out of the way (in PA) so we did book them a hotel the night before. In their cost, it included two photographers (so two angles), all day coverage (Jason came to our room at 6:30am for getting ready photos, and both of them stayed after the reception ended til about 6pm to take more photos of just the two of us), engagement photos, a CD with all rights to the hi-res pictures, and a one-week turn around for edits and internet viewing. The photos turned out great! They have a more classic style of photography which is what we were looking for (as opposed to the photojournalistic style that many people seem to like). Additionally, I had a pinterest page with a bunch of wedding photos that I had wanted to take. Jason and Erica had these downloaded on their phone, and throughout the day, they made sure we got as many of those poses as we could. Another bonus, Jason always made sure we had drinks in our hands at the reception! We loved Jason and Erica and would recommend them to anyone!

Amazing Husband & Wife Team

By H Hopkins

Jason and Erica were amazing. They spent the whole 12 hours with me, from getting ready until we left the reception. Jason was extremely well prepared with the little things nobody thnks about like safety pins and bobby pins. Not only were they attentive, but my pictures turned out well beyond my expectations. There are a few pictures where I think I looks more beautiful than I ever have in my life. Thank Erica and Jason, you guys are amazing and whenever someone is talking about getting professional pictures done, you are my first recommendation.
